Bloggy Giveaway!!!

As promised, here is my Bloggy Giveaway post to let you all know what you're "competing" for.

Rules
1. Must be a U.S. resident.....but you do NOT have to have a blog of your own. Be sure to provide a valid email address as this is how I will contact the winners.
2. Follow this link....Browse the site, come back here, and leave a comment to let me know what you liked most about the page, and which prize interests you most if you are chosen as the winner.
3. Comments will close at 3pm EST on Friday, Aug 1. Winner will be announced on Friday, Aug 1 by 10pm EST. Winner will have until 7pm EST Sunday, Aug 3 to get me their address for mailing. If no response, I will choose another winner.

What you'll win
I'll chose 3 random winners....more accurately, I will have my 2 year old pick a number from a hat, which corresponds with your post number. Since I'm choosing 3 winners, there will be 3 different prizes, which may or may not be of interest to you. Having said that, I will also say that just because you post that one is of interest to you, doesn't guarantee that you will receive that item.

The prizes include:
1. 10+ samples for mommy-to-be
2. A new piece of Home Interior....granted, it is retired merchandise, but it's still new (ie. leftovers from when I was a consultant)
3. Some random scrapbooking items that I haven't used.

**UPDATE** Rather than having my 2 year old pick a number, I've decided to use random.org choose a number for me.

What a fun job you have! I was surprised by your rates, too. You're very affordable. Good luck with your certification. It looks like it is something you are passionate about!

I know you checked out the giveaway at grocerycouponguru.com, but we also have one going on at www.bargainhuntingmoms.com. (Yes, more food, too! lol)

I think the client testimonials and photo album will be a wonderful addition to that site - how exciting!

I'm a big coupon clipper so I would definitely like to win that big lot!

John said...

I had no idea what a doula was, so your site has been very informative!

Thanks for entering my giveaway, and I know Marly (I mean I) would love to have the coupons or the HI stuff from yours.

Best of Luck on your quest to be a doula! It must feel great to be present at the best day of someone's life. Personally, I love to hear birth stories so I think the addition of why you want to be a doula and your own experiences makes you seem personable knowing that you truly will be an advocate!

I would love to have a doula when I give birth. =) What a cool job.

Thanks for leaving a message on my site:) I thought your blog was very interesting! I can't wait to see more!

I'm trying to do the "budget" thing here at our house. We don't have children, however, we have a limited income with the hopes of adopting in the future, so with all of that said saving our pennies in every way would be very helpful! Thanks for this give away!

What a wonderful site you have. My birthing experience was not great either and I had no idea about Douala's. I would like to invest in one when I get pregnant again. Thanks for the giveaway.

Doula services are wonderful! I had a midwife with my son all through the pregnancy, up until he decided to come 6 weeks early. A friend of mine had a doula with her first child and said it was a great experience. Very cool. :)

I wanted a doula but it wasn't really in our budget because my fiance had been laid off. I had my baby boy (second birth) drug free- didn't even need an IV- in February and thought it was a piece of cake. I think I got lucky! I didn't even know I was in transition until they told me and I was laughing while I was pushing.

I love the client testimonials. As a nurse I can tell you I love doulas. Get that certificate soon so you can become more marketable!

I really liked that you have everything spelled out in a very easy format for your clients. They can easily find anything they want to know-ie: rates, client testimonials, why you do what you do, etc. That is super important.

I think if I had a choice, I would choose to win some Home Interior piece. I am trying to decorate my home, so I could use any help I could get! Thanks for the giveaway!

Looks like a great site. I think a doula would be great to have.
I would love to win mommy-to-be stuff or scrapbooking stuff!

Wow -I had never heard of a doula was, but now I know, of course, too late....I'm done having children. 5 is plenty for me :o )

I would love the home interior item(s) but any of the three would be great!
Thank you for the chance

Your website is very concise and easy-to-read. It's not "busy" and all over the place, which is VERY nice!

I think my MIL should be a doula because she's amazing and helped me during the birth of my 2nd daughter!!!

pierce said...

I like how low-priced your services are and the testimonials! I think the blog should have more colors though!

Thank you :)

I think the site is really, really good. My favorite thing about it is that its so clear. You say what a doula is and isnt and your prices and services are plainly laid out---very refreshing. I would have loved to see the photo album but it is under construction. Good luck--I bet you are great at what you do. My favorite prizes are #1 and #2. Thanks!

Thanks for visiting my blog and entering my giveaway! As for what I liked most about your site was this comment "Afterwards, I did feel a little jipped, not having experienced any "real" contractions" Not that I like that you felt that way but because I felt the same way after my c-section and jipped of a whole lot more from her being born so early. With my second, from what I had read, I was too scared to try for a VBAC, just felt it was way to risky going from having a c-section with such a tiny baby then laboring with a much larger baby so I have 2 kids but have NEVER felt a contraction.

ANYWAYS... either of the last 2 items would be great for me, but if I were to win the mom to be stuff, I am sure I could find some well deserving mom-to-be to give it to :)
Thanks

Thanks for visiting my giveaway at One Book Two Book (www.onebooktwobook.com) and pointing me in the direction of your blog and web site. I found it interesting to know more about what you do and why. (I think that was on the "About" page.) Much success in your certification and business. The scrapbooking supplies appeal to me and would allow me to do more scrapbooking with my grandkids.

I am due in a just a few weeks - I have played with the idea of having a doula -- and got it - kinda - a dear friend of mine is a L+D nurse at the hospital I deliver at - and will come in to be my nurse (even if it's her day off!) when Little cat G comes.

Megan said...

Great website. I like the simple layout with all of the information so easily accessible. Pictures and testimonials will really add a lot. Good luck with your certification.

I'd like any of the prizes, but #2 is the most appealing to me.

I really knew nothing and had not heard of Doula services so I found the entire site pretty informative.

And the gifts for Mom-to-be sound nice! =)

I love how simple the layout of your page is, love the explanations of what you do and don't do, was bummed the album wasn't up yet lol, oh and you are on the opposite side of the country. :) Great page. :)

I like that you list statistics under why use a doula. It really shows the impact a doula can make. It think the photo album will be a great addition when it's up.
I would love to win #2.
Thanks for the contest!

Your site looks so clean and fresh in its design. I like all the prizes, but I guess I would choose #1. Thanks for the giveaway!

Storm said...

I like that you are offering a payment plan, that really helps open it up to some women who would never get a chance otherwise to ahve a doula (or don't even realize that they could have a chance!)

I'd love any of the prizes, but I guess throw me first up for the samples for mommy to be!

How fun to help others bring life into this world. I remember the birth of my 2nd daughter. The OB who delivered her was really just as happy as I was and couldn't wait to hold her later that night when she came to check on me. Even after all the babies she delivers she still marveled at birth.

Mama Hill said...

All three sound great! Thanks!

nessatxmom said...

I soooo wish I'd had a doula with my children. My birth experiences were much like yours. To be honest, I'd never heard of a doula until going to your site. I think the photos and testimonials will be great! I also like that you offer a written birth story from your point of view, very nice! I would like the Home Interior if I win. Thanks!
